Job Description

🚀 Shipping Manager — Own the Floor, Lead the Team & Keep Operations Moving

📍 Manheim, PA | 100% On-Site

Ready to run point in a fast-paced operation — not watch from the sidelines?

If you thrive in motion, lead from the front, and know how to keep people, freight, and timelines moving safely and efficiently, this role has your name on it. We’re growing fast — and we’re looking for a hands-on Shipping Manager who can plan the day, solve problems in real time, and lead a team that delivers every single day.

🧭 JOB DESCRIPTION

The Shipping Manager is a hands-on operational leader responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing daily shipping and yard operations in a fast-paced warehouse environment. This role ensures shipments move safely, accurately, and on time while supervising hourly staff, maintaining operational flow, and removing real-time obstacles.

This is not a desk job. You’ll be on the floor, in the yard, and in the action — leading by example and keeping operations running smoothly in both indoor and outdoor environments.

🔧 WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Plan and oversee daily shipping, yard, and pickup operations
  • Assign work, manage stations, and ensure proper staffing coverage
  • Monitor shipping timelines and customer urgency to meet tight deadlines
  • Remove bottlenecks and solve same-day operational issues
  • Verify freight accuracy (BOLs, pallets, documentation)
  • Enforce safety protocols and maintain a compliant warehouse and yard
  • Supervise, coach, and support hourly shipping and warehouse staff
  • Keep shipping, pallet, and yard areas clean and organized
  • Jump in and perform Shipping Specialist and Removal Technician tasks when needed
  • Coordinate on-site pickup days, transport days, and staging of shipments
  • Review shipping paperwork and photos; audit for accuracy and compliance
  • Support training, retraining, and performance monitoring
  • Assist with customer issues related to shipping, including lost or damaged items
  • Manage schedules, call-offs, and coverage for time-sensitive work
  • Communicate updates, challenges, and improvement ideas to leadership
  • Support special projects and broader warehouse operations as needed

💼 WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR: Must-Haves:

  • 2–5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or shipping operations
  • Prior supervisory or lead experience in an operational environment
  • Strong safety mindset with experience enforcing safety protocols
  • Ability to plan work and manage priorities under tight timelines
  • Comfort working hands-on in a physical, warehouse and outdoor setting
  • Strong communication and decision-making skills in fast-moving environments

BONUS SKILLS (NICE TO HAVES)

  • Forklift certification
  • Experience with outdoor logistics or yard operations
  • Background in high-volume or time-sensitive shipping environments
  • Familiarity with basic office tools (email, spreadsheets, documentation)

🎓 EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS

  • High school diploma or equivalent experience required
  • Technical training or certifications related to logistics or warehouse operations are a plus

💰 COMPENSATION & PERKS

  • Salary: $50,000 – $53,000 annually
  • Opportunity to lead operations in a growing, fast-moving company
  • High visibility and real ownership of daily execution

🎁 BENEFITS

Paid Time Off (PTO):

  • PTO is awarded based on tenure
  • Details provided during the interview process

📍 OTHER DETAILS

  • 100% onsite role in Manheim, PA
  • Warehouse and outdoor operational environment
  • Standard hours aligned with auction operations: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Role requires standing, walking, lifting, and physical activity throughout the day
  • Outdoor work includes exposure to varying weather conditions

🔥 Why us? Because here, leaders don’t wait for permission — they take ownership. If you’re someone who thrives on urgency, accountability, and keeping operations moving, you’ll make an immediate impact.

👉 If you’re ready to lead from the front and own the floor — apply now.
