Salary:

Retroaim is seeking a proactive and resourceful Skilled Trades Recruiter to join our recruiting efforts. This role is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified candidates for skilled trade positions such as asbestos/demolition supervisors, concrete operators, drivers, foreman, insulators, general laborers, and operational roles. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the trades industry, excellent networking skills, and a passion for connecting top talent with the right opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and job specifications.
  • Develop and execute targeted recruiting strategies for skilled trade roles.
  • Source candidates through job boards, social media, trade schools, career fairs, and industry networks.
  • Screen resumes and conducts interviews to assess candidate qualifications and fit.
  • Maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future openings.
  • Coordinate and schedule interviews with hiring teams.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment laws throughout the hiring process.
  • Build relationships with trade schools, unions, and industry associations.
  • Track and report recruiting metrics and KPIs.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience recruiting for skilled trades or similar roles.
  • 1-3 years of experience of recruiting within an agency or an internal company.
  • Strong knowledge of skilled trades job functions and industry terminology.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions and prioritize effectively.
  • Familiarity with Human Resources Information Systems HRIS and recruiting tools such as Indeed, Monster, Zip Recruiter, LinkedIn, and potentially an ATS system.
  • Previous experience working in other markets besides the Hampton Roads.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required, bachelors degree in HR or related field preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of labor market trends and workforce development programs.
