Purpose of the Role:

Responsible for weighing inbound & outbound deliveries of recyclable materials. May be cross-trained on a Cashier position depending on the volume of customers and size of the yard.

Principal Accountabilities:

Responsible for the accuracy of all weightings.

Enter the correct codes for received materials.

Maintain orderly purchasing and sales tickets.

Responsible for end-of-day reports.

Accurately count cash and pay customers.

Perform other duties as requested

Experience Required:

Previous experience in weigh or scale operations preferred.

Basic math and computer skills required.

Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) required.

Cash handling experience required.

Skills:

Organized and detail oriented

Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Required to follow SIMS Metal Management and OSHA safety regulations

Willingness to continue to learn and grow with the company

Overtime may be required
