Pharmacy Technician – Credena at Providence Health and Services summary:

The Pharmacy Technician at Providence St. Patrick Hospital performs medication dispensing and pharmacy support duties under pharmacist supervision, adhering to Montana Board of Pharmacy regulations. This role requires licensing or permits, one year of pharmacy and customer service experience, and advanced skills in specialty areas such as immunization administration. Description

Performs all typical duties of a retail. mail order, specialty pharmacy staff technician as defined by the Montana Board of Pharmacy and local pharmacy drug outlet procedures. Fills physician orders for patient medications under a Registered Pharmacist's supervision. Communicate with and service the needs of the Pharmacy clientele. Has advanced knowledge and skills in one or more specialty areas in the pharmacy. (Advanced skills include specific certifications such as immunization administration, MTM)

Required Qualifications:

  • Upon hire: Montana Pharmacy Technician License Or
  • Upon hire: Montana Pharmacy Technician Temporary Practice Permit Or
  • Upon hire: Montana Pharmacy Technician Provisional License
  • 1 year Experience (2080 hours) of pharmacy practice
  • 1 year Customer Service
  • 1 year For internal promotion candidate must be competent in all responsibilities of an Associate Pharmacy Technician: (external candidates are required to have the equivalent experience)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework/Training Completion of Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
