Job Description

Job Title: Corporate Field Services Technician (IT Desktop Support)

Location: Onsite Painted Post, NY

Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (some flexibility required)

Assignment Duration: 6 months (extension possible based on demand)

Position Overview

The Corporate Field Services Technician provides technical support for computer systems, software, hardware, and IT infrastructure. Support will be delivered both in-person and remotely across the Corning Valley (USA). The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on hardware skills, proficiency with Windows 11, Microsoft Office, and troubleshooting enterprise technologies. The role requires professionalism, strong communication, and the ability to follow documented processes accurately.

Key Responsibilities

Daily Support Tasks

  • Active Directory administration
  • Limited corporate mobile device support
  • Support for cloud applications (Office 365, etc.)
  • Troubleshooting Cisco VPN and Citrix connectivity
  • Remote desktop support
  • Asset management and inventory tracking
  • Browser support (Edge, Chrome, etc.)
  • Installation/configuration of Adobe products
  • Installation/configuration of Check Point endpoint protection
  • Printer/driver installation and troubleshooting
  • ServiceNow ticket handling
  • Standard IP phone deployment and configuration
  • Hardware ordering, deployment, and replacement

Additional Responsibilities

  • Documentation and record management
  • Knowledge base research and usage
  • Customer scheduling and follow-ups
  • Support for end-user desk moves (disconnect/reconnect)
  • Cross-team collaboration and technical roundtable participation
  • Standard device imaging (USB/PXE servers)
  • Smart-Hands support for tasks outside normal operations
  • Participation in project-based work

Required Skills & Experience

  • 1+ year hands-on hardware experience (beyond imaging/deployment)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience deploying and supporting Windows 11
  • Basic knowledge of Command Prompt & PowerShell
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and grow

Education

  • Associates Degree in a relevant field (preferred)
  • High School Diploma or GED (minimum requirement)
