Art History, Part-Time Faculty Pool Chaffey College Salary: $71.00 - $91.00 Hourly Job Type: Adjunct Faculty Job Number: 24-25/00132 Location: Rancho/Fontana/Chino, CA Department: Arts, Communications, and Design Academic & Career Community Closing: Continuous Position Description Chaffey College is seeking applicants for the adjunct faculty pool in the Art Department. All applicants are expected to meet the California State Community College Minimum Qualifications for Art instructors (below). Meeting the minimum qualifications does not guarantee employment or an interview. Courses offered:ARTH 3 - Survey of Western Art from Prehistory through the Middle AgesARTH 5 - Survey of Western Art from Renaissance to ContemporaryARTH 7 - Arts of Africa, Oceania, and Indigenous North AmericaARTH 9 - Art of the Ancient AmericasARTH 11 - Survey Asian ArtsARTH 19 - Contemporary Art: 1945-Present Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Master's in art history, history of art and architecture; OR Master's in art with a recorded emphasis or concentration in art history; OR The equivalent; OR Valid lifetime credential that authorizes service as an art history instructor in a California Community College; OR The equivalent; AND Demonstrated evidence of sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds in a community college environment. MEETING MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS DOES NOT ASSURE THE CANDIDATE OF AN INTERVIEW. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS Community college teaching experience. Degree concentration, teaching experience, and/or research in one of the course areas.
