Administrative Assistant

One of our clients located in Midland, TX is looking to add an Administrative Assistant to their team on a direct hire basis.

Administrative Assistant Role:

Handles daily administrative tasks to keep office operations running smoothly.

Orders supplies and equipment as needed.

Creates purchase orders and delivery tickets for customer orders.

Updates and maintains inventory, HR, payroll, and workflow databases.

Operates and maintains office equipment such as copiers, printers, scanners, and fax machines.

Coordinates temporary housing for rotational employees, including scheduling and responding to questions.

Maintains local files and records.

Supports the onboarding process for new hires in partnership with HR.

Explains administrative and payroll procedures to employees.

Answers phones, takes messages, and directs calls as needed.

Sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence.

Communicates with employees, customers, and vendors to provide information and resolve issues.

Looks up information in files and records to respond to requests.

Manages calendars, schedules meetings, and organizes appointments.

Administrative Assistant Background Profile:

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of 2 years of administrative experience

Previous experience with purchase orders IDEAL

Exposure to timekeeping preferred

Must be computer literate with the ability to learn new programs quickly

Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

Needs to be a go-getter and organized
